Content: We will look at two electronic laboratory diaries, which are the result of the work of Slovenian researchers, namely SciNote and Quipnex. We will present the general characteristics of electronic laboratory logs, their operation, target users and comparison with other typical digital tools (eg Microsoft Excel). We will also answer the question of how electronic laboratory logs fit into the story of open science and how they can simplify the handling of research data.
