This autumn, the SPOZNAJ project consortium will carry out training for persons who will perform the role of data stewards or related profiles of data experts (e.g. data archivists, data librarians, data managers and data consultants) at their parent organizations within the framework of Work package 4: Preparation and implementation of specialist training for operating according to the principles of open science, Subset 4.3: Implementation of data steward training. This will be the first such training for data experts in scientific research activity in Slovenia, which we prepared based on similar trainings abroad (e.g. Data Steward Postgraduate Course of the University of Vienna, 4TU Essentials 4 Data Support, EOSC Synergy Data Steward Training etc.). The training will be carried out by staff employed by consortium partners and selected foreign experts.
The training will take place in three parts, which will comprise a total of 12 days of 6 school hours, namely on the following dates:
- 23 September – 26 September 2024
- 14 October – 17 October 2024
- 18 November – 21 November 2024
Due to space limitations, in-person participation will only be possible for employees of the consortium partners. All other interested parties will be able to participate online, where there is no size limit. Attending individual lectures online will also be possible. To obtain a certificate of attendance (in-person or online), 80% attendance is required (58 out of 72 hours in total).
